Woodoaks Farm to feature on BBC1's Countryfile for the second time.

Woodoaks is back on BBC1’s Countryfile this weekend. Tune in this Sunday at 5.15pm.
The farm will feature once again as they follow Steve Dutch, our ranger, coppicing the edge of Ladywalk Woods alongside Chiltern Rangers CIC and our volunteer team.

If you missed the full Countryfile December episode featuring Woodoaks team members right across the farm, then you can catch up with it on BBC iPlayer HERE

“John Craven and Margherita Taylor explore Woodoaks Farm in Hertfordshire, where efforts are under way to restore nature’s balance and reconnect people with farming. John discovers the rural heritage of the farm, which was donated to the Soil Association in 2020, and learns about the vision for its future. He also meets a historian who has unearthed the lost diary of a local farmer, written over 150 years ago, and hears about the wisdom within its pages that still holds true for farming today.
Margherita meets the community of people that are part of daily life on the farm, from the volunteers that make up the compost club to the local bird enthusiasts who follow the feathered fortunes of some of the farm’s wildlife. Away from Woodoaks, Adam reveals the Countryfile Young Countryside Champion finalists.” – It’s a wonderful watch.
John Craven talks to historian Fabian Hiscock of Three Rivers Museum Rickmansworth where the diaries of Victorian Farmer John White can be found.
