This is a slight paraphrasing of a recent Soil Association Instagram post that we think followers of The Black Barn Project will find very interesting and relevant to the work we are doing here. It’s about organic farming and what we do and why we do it
Growing without chemicals keeps nature in balance: Encouraging the predatory wasps to the land to control the caterpillars eating the cabbages, sowing wildflowers to entice the bees who pollinate our crops, leaving the fungal networks underground intact to carry the nutrients through the soil… …all of this and so much more.
Everything we do involves careful observation, a great deal of thought and hard work to constantly watch and learn from nature itself. Respecting and encouraging the natural balance whenever and wherever we can, to grow the very best vegtables possible.
