Join us for our very special Dawn Chorus Bird Walk where we will be treated to the delightful morning melodies from our resident birds such as Blackbird, Song Thrush, Wren, Robin, Dunnock, Chaffinch and Skylark.
We may also hear migrant species that have travelled thousands of miles from their wintering grounds, now preparing to breed, with males singing to attract a mate.
Species such as Blackcap, (also known as the Northern Nightingale) due to its fluting song, should be heard plus Chiffchaff, Common Whitethroat and maybe the rarer Lesser Whitethroat too.
If the weather is kind we should also have a wonderful view of the sun as it rises in the east at approx 5:45am.
Local Birders Stephen Carter and Paul Lewis, alongside farm ranger Steve Dutch, will be guiding us through the morning, answering questions, highlighting and identifying birdsong and enabling us to get a close look at our feathered friends using their specialist birding monocular.
