Ocado Retail has teamed up with the Soil Association to set up five demonstration nature-friendly farms around the UK. The aim of these farms is to significantly boost the adoption of nature and climate-friendly farming practices around the UK.
Back in March, Ocado CEO Hannah Gibson and Soil Association CEO Helen Browning met on Woodoaks Farm to collaborate on the innovative ‘Farm to Fork’ partnership, which aims to help transform the way we eat, farm, and care for our natural world.
With the partnership excitingly sealed, we were delighted to welcome the first of 400 Ocado Retail and Soil Association employee volunteers who are set to join us on Woodoaks Farm over the coming years, so they can personally gain a real connection, insight, and understanding of what nature-friendly farming looks like.
Farm Ranger Steve led the team through the day with a morning of weeding and mulching our newly planted hedgerows, followed by an afternoon of tree and wildflower identification and a farm walk.
