Soil Association's New Organic Entrepreneurs Come to Woodoaks Farm

The Black Barn opened its doors to welcome the first of Soil Association‘s New Organic Entrepreneurs to Woodoaks Farm on Friday.

This gathering of great and glorious folk arrived with energy, ideas, shared values and purpose, to kick started a pilot programme that brings together new organic growers and producers, so they can share, learn and thrive into the future.

Taking time out to think about where you want to be and how you can get there, (whilst influencing change in those around you) can be difficult in a busy work day. So, with some fresh air thinking in a different space, and time spent with like minded people under guidance from the Soil Association and Emma Catillion of Shropshire Good Food Partnership, the group had the opportunity to gain inspiration and find focus.

After lunch, Rose Lewis led the group on a farm walk, which included Woodoaks’ tenant farmer Steve Whitby of Whitby’s Family Farm, one of the new entrepreneurs taking part in the programme.

We felt honoured to host the first meeting of this group and are really excited to see how the programme and entrepreneurs within it develop over the coming months.
