TOUR DE RICKY 2026

Woodoaks Farm hosts its 4th Tour De Ricky with West London Cycling welcoming over 500 riders to the farm.

Woodoaks Farm’s annual TOUR DE RICKY Cycling Festival welcomed around 500 cyclists and families for a day of riding, learning and community fun. Cyclists set off from Maple Cross to take on routes through surrounding villages and the beautiful Chiltern Hills, enjoying some of the region’s most scenic countryside. Riders from all over Southeast England took part in multiple distances from 50K-200K put together by organisers West London Cycling Club.

Councillor Stephen Giles-Medhurst demonstrated his own pedal power by hopping on board and blending fruit on the smoothie bike kindly loaned by Three Rivers Healthy Hub. Volunteers explained how softer fruit (that might otherwise be thrown away) is great and nutritious in a smoothie whilst the peels are superb for composting!

Spokes S W Herts Cycling group tested people’s knowledge of the Highway Code and Cycling Trivia. Watford Cycle Hub provided the ever-popular obstacle course for children, whilst the teams at Creative Juices and Tea Shack and El Bocadillo kept cyclists fed and watered.

Huge thanks to All the Woodoaks Volunteers and farm supporters who added their talents and crafts to the day  – fresh bakes from Woodoaks Bakehouse and Fermentary, Fitness from LVFITT, Zumba with Flo, Forest School Crafts from GROW WILD CLUB, Kid’s wooden medals and smoothie bike supplied from Three Rivers District Council and fruit supplied by Waitrose, Rickmansworth.

Out on the road cyclists dropped into the designated check in points along supporting local cafés and coffee shops.

Back at base,  there was plenty to keep young and old active and happy!
